We just had two of our songs, "Stars" and "Simply Yours" forwarded for a competition to be featured on bigFM. The demographic is huge: 18-34yr. olds, with over 10 million listeners! We got past stage one.... If selected, we'd be the featured and only artist on the show!

"This album has a pop feel to it, yet is extremely original. It is definitely what I would call radio friendly, but again, not something that has been done over and over again, and not something that is trying to mimic other artists already in the mainstream. I say already because I think TFP has the potential to get there someday and maybe even someday soon. I give Hearing Things a full five stars. I don’t have anything negative to say about it at all. "

Ok, we're pretty excited to have finished mixing our first CD yesterday. It's a musician thing. Next stop: The Kitchen Mastering. Today we'll master it and then get going on the details between it and iTunes/record stores.

Guitar Amp Heaven

Some of the electric guitar work on the upcoming CD was cut with a Vox AC-30 and a Fender Twin in tandem. Gotta love it. The AC-30 amplifier has been used on many a classic cut throughout rock history.

New Band Member, Mike

The Finger Puppets have added a new band member named "Mike." He's diminutive (approximately the size of a golf ball) and responsible for incidental noises in the night, misc. percussion, and treadmill management. Mike's joining the band is not expected to require us to upgrade to a larger tour bus.
